We measured how tall the apples were with unifix cubes and then cut a piece of yarn to match and put it in our apple book
Making crock-pot apple pie
We read "How to make an Apple Pie and See the World" We retold the story to our partners using the pieces we chose. We either picked the things she got on her journey or how she went on her journey. Ask your child to tell you about the story. :)
Weighing apples, using the balance scales and teddy bear counters. Ask your child how many teddy bears balanced their apple. They loved this!
Somehow I did not get a single picture of this apple labeling craftivity! Believe me when I tell you they had paper everywhere! Now we have a hallway full of apples!
The apple pie was finally done! It doesn't look very appealing, I know! And a few of them took one look and said no thanks! But almost everyone at least tasted it! It made our room smell amazing and they enjoyed the experience and most of them really enjoyed the "pie."
Finally tasting it! |
